Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)
ISTDP is a unique form of psychodynamic treatment that brings about a rapid reduction of emotions symptoms, specifically designed to resolve anxiety, depression, somatization and personality disorders, as well as alleviate a variety of self-defeating behaviors.
Medically Unexplained Symptoms/ Traumatic Symptom Disorder
Some individuals experience symptoms such as back & muscle pain, tiredness, numbness, heart palpitations, dizziness or stomach problems that, despite testing, go undiagnosed, sometimes for years. Treating the psychological component can treat the physical responses.
Dissociative Seizures
Those experiencing dissociative seizures may have experienced seizures for years without knowing they are experiencing dissociative seizures. Psychological treatment can help reduce frequency & severity.
Treatment Resistant Depression
For some, depression persists for an extended period of time, despite various forms of treatment. Dr. Hann Psychological services have a track record for helping patients who have thought depression might be untreatable.
Treatment Resistant Anxiety
Those who experience anxiety often find it impacts their work and home life, and even after extended periods of searching and trying new treatments, continue to suffer from anxiety. Treatment resistant anxiety CAN be treated, allowing patients' quality of life to improve.
Emotion Focused Couples Therapy
When a relationship experiences a breakdown, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) can help couples create healthy attachments, reducing negative patterns and conflict, and improving communication and empathy.
Independent Medical Evaluations (IME)
When an Independent Medical Evaluation is required, Dr. Hannah Psychological services conducts the evaluation with respect and in an objective and experienced manner.
Professional Referral
Professionals can refer their patients or clients using our professional-referral form. We will be in touch within a timely manner.
Self Referral
Taking the first step in seeking help is often difficult. At our practice, we realize the importance of making the referral process easy and confidential. Self-referrals are easily made online to assist you in taking the first step.
- What to expect
Therapy is effective for most people experiencing distress. It takes courage to start a relationship with a new therapist, and we understand this. We also understand that it’s a lot of work, and we put the work in with you. We strive to be organized, efficient and present. This way, our patients make the most out of each session. It's common for patients to experience strong emotions and memories during the sessions, and we are experienced and able to support you through this process. We are honest with our patients, and for the patient to get the most out of the treatment, honesty is important. The therapeutic relationship is key to the success of our treatment, and we promise a safe, confidential and judgement free relationship. Most importantly, our therapy strives for results. We often see patients for XXX- XXX sessions in order to achieve the results.
